There's a particular kind of satisfaction in taking something this ordinary and giving it your full attention. To build it from scratch, material by material, and ask: what does this actually look like when the light hits it properly?

The translucency of the barrel. The way ink pools at the base. The small imperfections in the plastic that stop it from ever feeling cold. These are the details that disappear in everyday life, and the details that make a render feel real. It was a chance to strip everything back, no lifestyle context, no set dressing, and let the object speak for itself. A simple well designed pen that just works!
